FISH of Greater New Haven

End Hunger for the Homebound

New Reach is thrilled to announce the successful integration of FISH (Food In Service to the Homebound), a respected organization serving the Greater New Haven community. This merger, which occurred in 2023, represents a significant achievement in our efforts to combat homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity in the region.

You can deliver hope—and groceries—
to your neighbors in need.

Every month, FISH delivers nutritious groceries to more than 500 homebound residents in Greater New Haven. With your help, we can reach even more.

Who We Are
Founded in 1968, FISH (Food In Service to the Homebound) has been fighting hunger for more than 50 years. What began as a grassroots community effort has grown into a coordinated volunteer-powered delivery network reaching hundreds of households each month.

In 2023, FISH became part of New Reach, ensuring the program’s long-term sustainability and expanding our capacity to serve.

FISH is the only program in Connecticut that delivers groceries directly to the homes of those who are homebound due to age, illness, or disability.
